Buyers, be aware; they just had a massive sync issues between May 7th ~ 10th, 2018, and the details of how it happened should scare you. http://help.dayoneapp.com/day-one-sync/may-2018-day-one-outage-postmortemIn short, some unintended sharing of personal diary data took place due to some design flaws on the server side. There have been 106 users whose data was inadvertently exposed to another account. It should never happen. I can't believe they didn't catch what I would consider being an elementary level mistake with the way they designed the Day One sync service. Just imagine some of your intimate private thoughts are shared with random strangers, and you get locked out of your account due to account ID mismatch. It is not assuring at all considering that I have had some sync issues with entries with photos way before the May outage. I normally steer clear of this type of 'bucket apps.' But, last year, I decided to make an exception, embrace Day One and gave a glaring review last year. Never again. I am putting everything back on my encrypted disk image as a folder full of Markdown files and accompanying media files.
